This vote is by far the hardest vote I believe I will ever have to be in.
No good candiates.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">So anyone hosting popcorn parties?... I hope that voters will recall the last time Mr. Bush stood on stage for a presidential debate. If elected, he said, he would support allowing Americans to buy prescription drugs from Canada. He promised that his tax cuts would create millions of new jobs. He vowed to end partisan bickering in Washington. Above all, he pledged that if he put American troops into combat: "The force must be strong enough so that the mission can be accomplished. And the exit strategy needs to be well defined."
Comparing these grandiose promises to his failed record, it's enough to make anyone want to, well, sigh.
Al Gore
FWIW, my prediction is the Republican strategery of boosting expectations for Kerry while lowering them for Bush will win again. If John Kerry comes off as slightly less articulate than Cary Grant while George Bush comes off as significantly better than Gomer Pyle, Bush wins. Plus Kerry has gratiously accepted the mantle of the flip-flopper without launching a counter attack. Perhaps I'll change my opinion after the spin-cycle after-debate, but for now it looks like Kerry is a goner...

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!!!!!!!! To that.
I agree.
This is going to sound really sexist, but so what...
MSNBC, (Chris Matthews) more shots of those 'Canes girls behind you please.
Actually, they have this thing so controlled that I dont really know if you'll get that defing moment or comment.
Just ask yourself one question before you go vote.
If there is a change, will things get better?
If the answer is not a definative no in your opinion, then you know what you have to do.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Funny thing is, I remember these comments quite well. It is something to think about.I hope that voters will recall the last time Mr. Bush stood on stage for a presidential debate. But what one should also consider is how tightly controlled these debates will be. I seriously doubt you will hear anything of substance and I also doubt that either candidate will answer the question that was asked.
What should be informative will in all likelyhood be of littel substance and mostly show.
It is sad what our political election process had dengerated into.
Im reading in a few liberal places that Bush is going to win the debate. Theya re already setting the stage(making excuses) for Kerry's failure.
My question is....How can you vote for a man to be president of this country, when you don't even have the confidence in him to win a simple debate?
I'm hoping the format will be a steel cage match, no holds unbarred.
Now THAT I would watch.
On the LEFT, weighing in with liberal policies, the man who would allow researchers to use stem cells to Save Your Life, John Kerry. And on the RIGHT, weighing in with Gaaaaauuuud on his side, the man who would keep us safe from ourselves, George W. Bush.
If I can stand to look at Kerry for more than 5 minutes I'll watch it. But John Kerry has the same sneaky, lying eyes my father has so I find it difficult to watch him speak at all...
